Butterfly Workshop - Held Saturday and Sunday throughout the day

Join us for a hands-on workshop to build you own butterfly kite. These small kites can be decorated and flown at Newport then taken home with you to fly another day. All materials will be supplied by Glenn Davison and the workshop is fun and free. Kids from age 5 to 105 are welcome!

Glenn Davison is a kite designer, builder, lecturer and workshop leader. He is the Chairman of the Education Committee for the American Kitefliers Association. He is a Director of the Kites Over New England kite club and has been featured on HGTV, the Boston Globe, Kiting Magazine and many festivals and publications.

HQ Kites Learn to fly Clinic - Held Saturday and Sunday throughtout the day

Chris Shultz from HQ Kites will be running the learn to fly clinc at this years festival. He will have various kites for the public to try from HQ’s latest offerings from 2 line sport kites to 4 line power foils. Be sure to check him out.
